Akbar Cuisine of India is a culinary gem in Pasadena, and their Butter Chicken is a revelation! The rich, velvety tomato sauce infused with a hint of cinnamon, cardamom, and cumin, coats tender, juicy chicken that simply melts in your mouth. The subtle tang of butter and cream adds depth and complexity, making each bite a masterclass in flavor balance. And let's not forget the Garlic Naan - soft, fluffy, and lightly charred, with a subtle crispness that gives way to a delicate, slightly tangy interior. The perfect accompaniment to sopping up that incredible sauce! But the magic doesn't stop there - the Samosas are crispy, golden perfection, filled with a delightful blend of spiced potatoes, peas, and onions that explode with flavor in every bite. The combination of textures and tastes is absolute perfection. I've tried Indian food all over LA, but Akbar's stands head and shoulders above the rest. The attention to detail, the love and care in every dish, and the sheer, unadulterated flavor make this place a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, mouth-watering Indian cuisine. Trust me, you won't be disappointed - Akbar's is the best Indian food I've had in LA, hands down!

My husband and I have dined here repeatedly, and it's been amazing each time. Today we brought his sister and her husband for lunch, and we ordered appetizers and lunch specials with an extra order of dal. The dal is so good here! The last time we were here we came for dinner with our neighbors, and we had dessert. The kheer brule was delicious, but the mango cheesecake was beyond! Highly recommend! One thing to note is that they don't have a bar, so you'll need your BYOB if you want any alcohol with dinner.

Marvelous meal. The coconut fish dish was to die for. We had seven courses and every one was a winner.

Awesome food, great service! 6 of us shared several dishes and tasting a variety. The coconut curry fish was delicious and an unexpected treat. The lamb vindaloo was great too, as we're all the dishes and warm soft Naan. I can not praise this place enough..
